We are looking for a Senior Principal Product Manager to join our fast growing Telemetry Data Platform group. Someone who will help lead our Open New Relic program, be responsible for delivering solutions to customers looking to employ open source tools, such as OpenTelemetry, as part of their overall observability solution!

Opportunity to work from a remote office may be available depending on applicant location.

What You’ll Do
  • Help build New Relic's vision and strategy for support of open sources of observability data.
  • You will own our goals for ingest of OpenTelemetry and other OSS telemetry data, and work with a passionate group of PMs, engineers, architects, and other leaders across New Relic to deliver on them.
  • Be a subject matter authority on open source observability and the challenges customers face with deploying and operating OSS observability solutions.
  • Collaborate with members of our competitive intelligence, marketing, partnerships, and alliances teams.
Your Qualifications

Must-have:

  • 2+ years experience in a senior product leadership role such as Principal Product Manager, Director of Product Management, or similar at a SaaS and cloud-based software company.
  • Ability to lead successful projects independently with little or no guidance
  • Track record of leading through influence and work across organizational boundaries
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with one or more OSS observability technologies such as OpenTelemetry, OpenCensus, OpenTracing, or Prometheus.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with product management tools (road mapping, mocks, wireframes, project management, Git tools, UI/UX tools)
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent
