Rehabilitation Technician, Inpatient

Description:Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center a member of Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Rehabilitation Technician to join our mission-driven Inpatient Rehab Team. Our vision is to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to those within our local communities, creating a positive impact for each individual that walks through our doors.

Rehabilitation Technician assists the Therapists with direct patient care activities utilizing rehabilitation techniques and coordinates non-clinical activities and support functions for the Rehab team. Including preparing and assisting for routine exercises, activities, cleaning the gym and general clerical and front desk support.

Work Hours/Shift:

• Full Time - 32 hrs / week, Days Shift

You Will Be Responsible For:

• Exceptional Patient Care: Contributes to overall quality of care by assisting in client appointments, maintaining treatment areas, identifies potential safety/mechanical concerns
• Excellent Communicator: Communicates with ancillary departments, clients and family members to ensure customer satisfaction. Demonstrates flexibility in providing adequate service to all areas
• Technical Familiarity: Computer-based applications (email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office. Performs ongoing inventory of equipment and materials to ensure adequate supply
• Active Teamwork: Supports Rehab team in general clerical and support duties

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent, with general knowledge of sciences, medical terminology
• Prior healthcare or patient service preferred
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Excellent Customer Service Skills and demonstrated simple math skills
