SCHEDULE: PRN/Per Diem

Registered Nurse (RN) Central Resource Pool/Float Pool

Schedule: PRN, 7a-7p or 7p-7a, weekend and holiday rotation are based on Tier level of work commitment

Central Resource Pool

As a CRP Nurse, you will float throughout the facility to all of the nursing units within your scope of practice, to include some or all of the following:


  • Intensive Care/ICU, Emergency Room (ER)
  • Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Step-Down
  • Behavioral Health, Outpatient Surgery

What will you be doing?
  • Responsible for clinical management of the patient.
  • Functions as a Registered Nurse by role - modeling professional behavior.
  • Functions as a Charge Nurse/Resource Nurse.
  • Assures satisfaction of customers (patients, visitors, physicians and staff)
  • Participates and understands Quality Management activities.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrates understanding of hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Promotes cost effective unit operations.
  • Documents nursing care utilizing the appropriate tools.

Qualifications


Education:
  • Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required)
  • BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)

Licensure/Certifications:
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Virginia as a Registered Nurse (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
  • ACLS and PALS certifications required within 6 months of hire or start in position
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required within 60 days of hire or start in position

Experience:
  • At least 3 years of acute care nursing experience (required)
