Title- Registered Nurse- MedSurg3
Work schedule is 7:00a-7:00p MedSurg 3 is a self-scheduling unit.
Position-
Lake Granbury Medical Center is in search of a Registered Nurse for our MedSurg3 Department that focuses on Medical and Surgical patients. Our 24 bed MedSurg3 Department is a cohesive team environment that improves the quality of care for patients. Our unit population encompasses complex patients that are both chronic and acute, and often with comorbidities who require surgical services. As a unit dedicated to medical and surgical patients we practice preventative and restorative nursing care. Our Registered Nurses integrate standards of care into our daily practice that includes: commitment, effective communication, customer service, responsiveness, sense of ownership and positive attitudes. The essential job duties of the Registered Nurse of this position include:
- deliver care to patients utilizing nursing process
- assessing the patient
- planning the care of the patient
- intervenes as appropriate
- evaluates interventions
- implements safety/infection control measures
- continuously educates patient and families
- maintains continuity of care with all departments
Qualifications
The ideal Registered Nurse Candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Associate Degree in nursing required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Current RN license or compact license recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
- BCLS upon hire
- ACLS upon hire
- PALS upon hire
- NIHSS upon hire
- CPI training upon hire or within 6 months of hire
- One year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program
- Previous Cardiac, Renal, Neuro, and/or telemetry experience preferred
