Job Description
Home Depot Equipment Services is comprised of over 300 talented and highly trained professional technicians to deliver comprehensive management of commercial equipment including installation, repair, preventative maintenance and parts management. POSITION PURPOSE

The position of Regional Services Equipment Manager (RSEM) leads Field Service Professionals (FSPs) and Maintenance Service Professionals (MSPs) in the Mid-Atlantic Region. States include Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia. The RSEM ensures the execution and optimization of business objectives, operations and financial plans to ensure regional profitability and commitment to customers. This position requires extensive travel within assigned region.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
40%- Monitor key business and staff performance metrics and engage staff for continued alignment with expectations.
Set the tone for team delivery and customer satisfaction.
15%- Executes technical performance plan in alignment with customer SLAs.
Demonstrated ability to effectively apply a performance management model in leading a team.
25%- Manage staffing requirements in conjunction with the Divisional Services Equipment Manager (DSEM). Review P&L with DSEM and adjust regional delivery plan accordingly.
Visit customer sites.
10%- Manages labor of field technicians to ensure appropriate technician coverage throughout the Region, including creation of work schedules and on call assignments, and management of employee overtime.
5%- Develops and maintains effective and cooperative long-term relationships with associates within The Home Depot, department heads, store managers, and district managers.
5%- Conducts ride-alongs with technicians to audit the overall quality of work, and to observe, reinforce, or improve specific patterns of behavior.
Spot check repairs.

NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to the Divisional Services Equipment Manager
This position has 15 direct reports.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.

Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:
This position is very active and requires standing and walking daily. Driving for extended periods of time. Working conditions may include working indoors and outdoors in cold, hot and damp areas. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be done by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 5 years

Physical Requirements:
Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

Preferred Qualifications:
Associates Degree or higher preferred, must have High School Diploma or GED / Technical or Trade School
Five (5) years or more of experience in manufacturing, equipment maintenance or related industry.
Knowledge of light industrial equipment.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to performance manage a team.
Working knowledge of SLA agreements.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, doing what is necessary to exceed customer expectations, and optimize and grow the business.
Ability to work collaboratively with store level and field level colleagues in order to create the best customer experience possible.
Effective verbal and written communication with managers, customers and peers.
Ability to interpret financial statements and performance reporting, define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make appropriate operational changes in response.
Working knowledge of key categories of HDES/THD equipment, including basic applications, features, benefits and safety issues.
Capable of implementing best practices in transferring equipment servicing knowledge.
Previous P & L responsibilities preferred.
One (1+) years in a regional role preferred.
Proficient in MS Office Suite with Word, Excel and Outlook.
Valid driver's license for the state in which you live and work.
Good driving record.
