Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing client relationships via regular planned customer-lifecycle touch points. The RSM will demonstrate all the behaviors associated to a high-performance sales culture, specifically building new business. In addition the RSM will be responsible for up-selling and cross-selling within our extensive install base and delivering results against the target. You are passionate about customer experience, soliciting voice of customers for feedback to organization and excited to show other organizations how ATS solutions can impact their mission and operations.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate ownership and successfully drive sales pursuits, pipeline and attain bookings targets
  • Create territory plans for assigned region to ensure sales success
  • Continually build pipeline of new business, up-sell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Focuses sales efforts by understanding existing customer profiles and therefore service products that would meet their needs
  • Become an authority on ATS products and services, and conduct discovery calls, presentations, and demos with prospects and customers
  • Identify and influence key customer decision makers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the assigned territory
  • Understand your customers operational and business development needs, promote and upsell services standard product offerings. Work with customers to identify challenges that ATS products and services can solve
  • Respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs) in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Articulate value and return on investment to key customer stakeholders leveraging market, product and customer data.
  • Collaborate with CAPEX Account Managers, Divisional Service Teams, Digital Solution Account Managers, and apply appropriate resources to drive opportunities to a successful completion
  • Ensure accurate and complete information is entered into CRM software and is consistently kept up to date
  • Participate in new product development based on customer feedback and observations.

Additional Information

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in manufacturing technology, engineering, marketing, business administration or related field.


Experience:

  • Minimum five years of direct sales experience selling industrial automation products or related products, such as precision tooling, machine tools, special purpose machinery, industrial robots or industrial machine control systems. Candidate must have working knowledge of advanced manufacturing technology automation, tooling and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven track record of increasing revenue and exceeding sales targets
  • Experience is selling afteramarket products which includes spares, service products such as support agreements and training, retrofits/upgrades and digital support products
  • Demonstrated effective negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Proven prospecting skills/techniques
  • Excellect presentation skills
  • Technical proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective verbal, written, and communication skills.
