IP Recycling manages over 7 MM tons of recycled products annually ($1 billion value). These strategic activities directly support IP’s requirements for recovered fiber and the sales of recycled products to domestic and export customers. Internally, recovered fiber accounts for one third of IPs overall fiber needs to produce Containerboard. Overall management includes engaging with:


  • 17 IPG mills that consume recovered fiber and purchased pulp
  • All North American Container facilities
  • 16 domestic IP recycle plants
  • Business Supply Chain teams
  • National account teams
  • Third party recycling and hauling companies
  • Sales teams of recycled product to both domestic and export customers

This position is responsible for IP Recycling Operations business analytics and reporting related to the procurement and movement of recovered fiber. This role reports to the IP Recycling Supply Chain Manager and is located in Memphis, TN. Travel expectations are minimal.


Responsibilities


  • Work incident and injury free.
  • Analytics and operational reporting associated with:
    • Mill receipts, inventory (including drop trailers) and consumption
    • IPR plant receipts, inventory and sales
    • Box plant DLK generation and movement
    • IP mill purchase prices and transfer price between plants and mills
    • Order creation and execution management
    • IPR plant sales plan vs execution
    • Sales exports
    • Warehouse receipts, inventory and shipments
    • Rail capabilities, shipments and demurrage management
    • Overall supply chain costs and optimization.
  • IPG recovered fiber price analytics, maintenance and monthly price releases.
  • Metrics to include fiber quality, transportation costs (domestic and export), demurrage, detention, inbound asset utilization, turnaround times, , etc.
  • Oversight and management of select cost improvement projects.
  • Utilize expert knowledge of supply chain processes and systems to support business activity.
  • Liaison to COE, IT and Accounts Payable for process functions.
  • Assist with “significant” vendor/carrier issue research.

Qualifications


  • Minimum of 3 years of Operational OP and Supply Chain experience
  • Demonstrated advanced analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Highly organized and self-driven
  • Proficient with enterprise applications (SAP, Power BI, BI4, BW, Excel and Power Point)
  • Knowledgeable of structured data extraction and analysis (SQL)
  • Ability to apply Manufacturing Excellence tools
  • Ability to function as a team member in a high performance work system
  • BS/BA degree preferred
