Recruiting Program Manager - Candidate Assessment

Here at Expedia Group, we are looking for a motivated team member to join our Global Talent Acquisition (GTA) team as a Program Manager for Candidate Assessment. This role will be pivotal in shaping the way candidates are evaluated and assessed for opportunities across the company. You will be an inspiring leader amongst peers on all things related to candidate assessment with the end goal of helping GTA hire exceptional talent consistently, efficiently, and effectively.

You will work closely with GTA, People Team and business leadership along with recruitment delivery teams across multiple regions to improve candidate assessment techniques and process – spearheading technical and systematic solutions that help raise the talent bar and improve the interviewing experience for both candidates and hiring managers. We are excited to add this role to our organization for the first time and are looking for a team member who enjoys the opportunity of a new and dynamic role!

What you’ll do:

  • You will lead the development and implementation of candidate assessment and testing programs, systems, and tools on a global basis – improving Expedia Group’s ability to identify diverse top talent and drive successful hiring outcomes efficiently and at scale

  • Working with business stakeholders you will design the structures and methods for screening and interviewing candidates for key roles across Expedia Group – including for early careers, technology, professional and executive level hiring

  • You will lead the evaluation, purchase decision and implementation of assessment tools used in the recruitment process which may include HackerRank, HireVue, Cappfinity and others, in a Workday HCM enterprise environment

  • As Program Manager, you will develop project schedules, define timeframes, budget routes, and prioritize tasks to achieve project milestones and deliver intended objectives within the agreed timeframes, ensuring that requirements are completed. In addition, you will identify the types of resources required to support a project, and make recommendations for specific people, technology, partners etc

  • You will demonstrate systems thinking – taking a whole systems approach to analyzing candidate assessment solutions by ensuring all components (structure, people, process, and technology) are identified and accounted for.

  • You will assess bottlenecks in assessment processes to streamline and simplify, coordinating with team members to execute new ideas or approaches to candidate assessment that increase effectiveness

  • You will partner closely with functional areas of the Expedia Group People Team, including Regional/Geo, Business Partnering, Talent Management and People Analytics to ensure candidate assessment solutions effectively address customer concerns and achieve desired quality and diversity in our hiring results

  • You will create and present professional, clear, concise, and organized communication materials (e.g. policies & procedures, guidelines, presentations, messages, training materials) including communication of technical and business concepts to stakeholders and leaders across Expedia Group

Who you are:

  • 4+ years professional Program Management experience, with at least 2 years’ experience designing and implementing candidate assessment and testing methodologies, systems, and processes

  • Experience evaluating technology solutions and managing implementation in a large, complex corporate environment

  • Experience building and presenting clear, concise, and well-structured functional material (e.g., policies & procedures, guidelines, presentations, messages) and recommending improvements to existing material

  • Communicates a compelling rationale and narrative to peers and partners, tailoring communications (content focus, style, format, etc.) for different audiences as appropriate
