Job Description

The Role

The Recruiter’s is responsible for leading staffing efforts to find front line workers that shape the customer experience at Mesa. This position works closely with hiring managers and screen applicants with a recommendation to hire. The primary focus of the role is to ensure Mesa has a sufficient pipeline of qualified candidates to meet the seasonality of our business. This role will create partnerships with local schools, agencies and networks to promote the Mesa brand and benefits of working at Mesa. The Recruiter must be engaging, dynamic, comfortable being highly visible, and proactive.

What you'll do..

  • Lead company recruiting efforts internally and externally in our 7 locations in Utah, Idaho, Colorado and Montana.
  • Interview and recommend for hire to scheduling of onboarding
  • Assist with headcount forecasting, sourcing strategy creation and ongoing process improvement in the function
  • Command deep understanding with the inner workings of the business and evaluate candidates to ensure their success in the role.
  • Develop and maintain helpful, effective relationships with hiring leaders and their teams
  • Develop relationships with prospective talent and seek out and recommend new ways of sourcing talent
  • Facilitate pre-interview briefings and post-interview feedback debriefs to ensure alignment from the start
  • Stay up-to-date with recruiting trends and techniques by developing, researching and implementing new recruiting procedures and processes and changes
  • Leads the development and maintenance of the company employer branding
  • Builds networks and maintains tools to source qualified candidates and develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need
  • Makes independent decisions regarding the recruitment process, compensation and hiring decisions as needed
  • Create a passive and pro-active sourcing & recruiting strategy
  • Assist with recruiting efforts: sourcing, interviewing, testing of candidates, scheduling interviews with hiring managers, etc.
  • Organize and participate in Talent Engagement events and other corporate events as needed
  • This role will focus on high volume hourly positions with occasional Managerial recruiting
  • This position will assist the Chief People Office with other HR initiatives in non-peak seasons.
  • Our peak seasons for recruitment span April to October with heavy travel within the inter-mountain region during that time.

What you'll need to succeed.

Comfortable in a role of interface at all levels with a specific focus on high volume hourly recruiting

Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills

Detail oriented multi-tasker

Highly responsive and positive with the ability to motivate others

Flexibility/adaptability – ability to changes priorities quickly and often and understand urgency

Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office

Knowledge of application tracking systems

General knowledge of employment laws and practices

3-5 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, and sourcing

2+ years of experience recruiting for hourly role

Social Media and Branding experience

Intermediate understanding of Human Resource Practices
