Founded in 1936 with $500 in assets by employees of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company, Patelco is in the top one percent of U.S. credit unions with more than $8 billion in assets.Overview: The Recruiter is responsible for the recruitment of positions on the retail/branch side of the organization and plays a critical role in ensuring we acquire the best talent possible. The role partners with management, corporate communications and HR business partners on recruitment plans and strategy, branding and our employment value proposition, social optimization, and much more. This position has the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement: a blended schedule of in-office and work-from-home.Responsibilities:
  • Work with the hiring manager on the recruitment plan and strategy for open positions. Conduct needs assessment and intake session. Partner with HR Business partners as appropriate on requirements and needs assessments.
  • Hire for our contingent workforce and partner directly with our agencies.
  • Post and update job descriptions internally and on approved Job Boards, with professional organizations and in other position appropriate venues.
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates. Use numerous methods to source candidates such as job board, social and professional networking sites. Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements and document the potential candidate’s specific preferences such as, availability, compensation requirements, location, etc. Document and track interactions with prospective candidates within the applicant tracking system. Coordinate interview times and locations with selected candidates.
  • Work with HRBP’s on offer compensation then extend offers to candidates. Handle negotiation of counter offers. Reject candidates who were not selected for the position.
  • Attend college recruitment job fairs and develop relationships with colleges to source interns. Also participate in internship program.
  • Build a strong pipeline of potential candidates through networking, sourcing, applicant tracking system and internet resources. Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees.
  • Conduct regular follow-up with submitted candidates to build rapport and source new candidate leads
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting. Assist with special projects such as providing guidance and making recommendations on ATS system and process improvements.
  • Regularly review the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
  • Assists in branding in establishing a recognizable “employer of choice” reputation for Patelco Credit Union, both internally and externally.
  • May produce regular reports on hiring and sourcing effectiveness, time to fill, etc.
  • Attends management meetings to provide updates, training, etc.
  • Leverages current technology to improve pipeline, candidate experience & quality, time to fill, etc.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two to five years of recruiting experience with previous high-volume recruitment required (agency &/or Corporate).
  • Previous experience utilizing the internet, databases, applicant tracking systems, search engines and social media to source active and passive candidates.
  • Professional and able to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information at all times
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously
  • Have the ability to cope with and work under pressure with time sensitive information
  • Have outstanding verbal and written communication skills for correspondence at all levels
  • Have the ability to communicate and work effectively and cooperatively with fellow co-workers
  • Demonstrates initiative, drive, and pursuit for excellence
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively cross functionally
  • Teamwork oriented
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business administration or related field.
