Responsibilities: Typical Day in the Life The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant provides clients with their first impression of our firm. Due to this, the receptionist makes an immediate impact on clients and others that visit or contact our office. Creating a positive client experience is key to this role. The ideal candidate displays a dynamic, lively personality and energetic attitude at all times. The Receptionist must be a people-person who enjoys conversation and collaborates well with others. The ideal candidate knows our company's reputation is center stage, and will treat their job as a profession. In addition, the Receptionist must be able to juggle multiple demands without getting flustered and will pride themselves on dependable and reliable attendance. A typical day as a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant might include the following:
  • Greet visiting clients and direct them to the correct staff person.
  • Answer the phone in a professional manner and direct callers to appropriate personnel/department.
  • Provide administrative support to partners, managers and staff with integrity and professionalism.
  • Schedule appointments and reserve conference rooms.
  • Compose and type routine correspondence including orders, memos, letters and reports.
  • Review, sort and route incoming mail, outgoing mail (USPS and UPS) including drop off at the post office and UPS when necessary.
  • Work together with the entire Administrative team to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Perform additional office administration duties as assigned by the Office Administrator.

  • You have strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • You are proficient in Word and Excel.

  • You love collaborating and being part of a team but also enjoy working alone with limited supervision.
  • In addition to all of this, you have at least 3 years of past administrative support experience specifically including receptionist/front desk work. You also have experience working in a professional services environment (preferred).
Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
