Okuma America Corporation
Primary Purpose and Function:
We are looking for a responsible Receiving Clerk to receive, inspect and record shipments with raw material or products. You will be responsible for unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match the orders. A receiving clerk must have a great eye for detail and basic math skills. They must also have adequate physical strength to unload shipments as well as the clerical skills to update records and follow up with suppliers. The goal is to ensure we receive the correct packages and stock them appropriately.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with procurement staff to be aware of expected deliveries
- Unload packages from incoming trucks
- Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
- Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
- Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)
- Contact procurement team if a mistake is identified
- Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
- Help with any other warehousing functions as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years material handling experience
- Fork-lift operation experience
- Able to work with other departments to achieve desired results
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Customer Service focused
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Continuous standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, squatting, and reaching
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
