INNOVIM Defense Services is seeking a Receiving and Stockroom Worker to join our team providing system design and operations for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) NISSC II program at the Cheyenne Mountain Complex and related facilities. The primary objective of this position is to ship and receive orders on time while controlling costs. Shipping clerks are the first employees to touch each order and product before our customers receive it. Inventories, receiving, shipping and tagging are some of the main duties of a shipping clerk.


Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following:

  • Stock the product in the finished goods stock room in the correct location
  • Work with Material Planners to prioritize the items coming in so we do not miss deadlines.
  • The shipping clerk picks the required items from the active shelves
  • Orders are double-checked by the other CICP clerks
  • Carefully pack the orders into appropriately sized boxes
  • Assembly of various products as starter kits, development kits, etc.
  • Receive returned material "RMA's" into the system and forward paperwork and product to the appropriate person or department
  • Assists with weekly cycle counts and the annual physical inventory.
  • Attention to Detail, Communication, Customer Focus, Decision Making and Judgement, Initiative and Change, Job Knowledge and Skills,
  • Problem Solving, Productivity and Quality, Self Development and Teamwork.

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance. Current active clearance preferred.
  • Position requires attention to detail and familiarity with inventory control techniques and shipping methods.
  • Planning work and being able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks is important.
  • Essential that the stockroom clerk be team player and is flexible and willing to work where needed within the materials group as directed by the Logistics manager or CICP lead.

Physical Demands: This position requires frequent lifting of small to medium-sized packages typically 2-10 lbs. range, but we do on occasion ship packages weighing in the 30-50 lbs. range. It is possible for packages to weigh all the way up to a maximum of 150 lbs.

Essential Functions:


  • Physical Requirements: Most work will be done at a desk or computer
  • Work Environment: General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers
  • Equipment and Machines: General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment
  • Attendance: Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur
