Job Description

The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring is seeking Reading tutors for immediate assignments in Baldwin and Merrick, NY.

The position:

  • Tutor students in grades 6-12 in reading strategies
  • Meetings are 1x per week at the client's home or at a neutral location such as a library
  • Tutoring is 1:1
  • Compensation is $35/hr-$40/hr commensurate

Requirements

  • An earned Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrable expertise and past experience as a Reading specialist
  • Teaching certification or provisional certification in Reading
