Quality Control Lead

Royal Bay, a TRG company and subsidiary of Schwarz Partners, is currently seeking a temp to hire Quality Control Lead to support our Cicero, IL facility. You will be eligible to be hired for full-time employment between 60-90 days after your start date. As a Quality Control Lead, you will maintain first article reports and report issues to the Process Control Manager. You will participate in the preplanning meeting held by the Production Line Manager and Supervisor and have a thorough understanding of the overall scope of every project. You will also monitor the quality control line inspectors and meet with them daily for updates or overall training on a given project. Constant communication with the Production Lead referring to damage and any other concerns.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:

• Participates in preplanning meeting with Production Line Manager and Supervisors understanding the overall scope of a given project
• Assigns QC Inspectors to a given project relating to the preplanning meetings.

• Meets with QC Inspectors daily on any updates to any given project and opportunities found
• Conducts random inspections to any Finished Good item during production to ensure that our Quality standards are being met by every QC Inspector.
• Continuous improvement training for every QC Inspectors ensuring that each Inspector is up to date on new procedures or findings that have occurred within other lines of operation.
• Monitors the reports being recorded by a QC Inspectors confirming that each inspector is documenting each action taken at the line.
• Communicates with the QC Lead confirming that the Damage Reports are being emailed to the Management team.
• QC leads and QC Line Inspectors will report the Quality Control Lead.
• Performs all First Articles for both TRG and Bay cites projects, confirms a time study per FA, documents any concerns with the planograms or rendering to the Process Control Manager.
• Documents any Call outs for QC inspector to watch for during the duration of a program on the line.
• Helps the Process Control Manager with ensuring that we as a company are following all GMP, AIB, BRC, TAPA and FDA regulations.

THE ROYAL GROUP REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one to three months of related quality experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees of the organization.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
