JR20226 QEM PQE EFA/REL Enginner

As a QEM PQE-EFA/Rel Engineer, you will be responsible to monitor and drive continuous improvement on probe yield and outgoing quality through electrical failure analysis (EFA) and cell wafer level reliability (WLR) analysis. You will also be engaged on Product Qualification activities, fab process conversions, customer return, MRB and continuous improvement of the yield, quality and reliability of products manufactured. Interface between Fab10 and PE/TSE/TD/GQ teams on all aspects of C1+ device trim and test related issues, cell reliability issues and timely communication of results to appropriate Fab engineering personnel and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform bench EFA on C1+ and quality fail (extrinsic and intrinsic) to propose solution for improvements.
  • Collaborate with Fab/PE/TSE closely to drive understanding and resolution of C1+ yield and quality issues with solutions spanning across process, device, test optimization fronts.
  • Apply electrical failure analysis techniques through layout/ circuit analysis, cell operation/ trim analysis and bench test characterization.
  • Perform NAND array characterization and design innovative Design of Experiment (DoE) to resolve different array intrinsic and extrinsic issues.
  • Identify design marginalities and recommend design fix for circuit related issues.
  • Support customer return and MRB electrical analysis to suggest the right disposition and reliability assessment.
  • Timely completion of reports on electrical failure analysis with high level of data integration.
  • Responsible for defining Wafer Level Reliability sampling plan and accountable for Outgoing Quality Reliability Monitoring to ensure fast detection and root cause understanding.
  • Perform cWLR risk assessment on process conversion, probe matrix and excursion material.
  • Responsible for continuously driving innovation and productivity enhancement project for PQE team.
  • Build strong partnership with Product Engineering, Technology Development and Global Quality teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Microelectronic background is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of semiconductor processing, device physics, and quality and reliability fundamentals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal to all levels.
  • Proven ability in multi-tasking complex projects and driving them to completion.
  • Good scripting skills (python, perl, C, C++) is an added advantage.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to build strong peer relationships.
  • Knowledge of NAND devices operations and physics is an added advantage.
  • Willing to work flexible hours that overlap with different time zones, or nights and weekends if necessary.
