Job Description

We are looking for Mobile/API automation engineer to join our Engineering Team in developing and maintaining high quality Mobile and API test automation for our banking applications. Primary responsibilities will include designing automation framework using modern test frameworks, collaboration with the other team members to build test automation. Strong capabilities in Mobile and API automation testing is needed.

Functions

  • Develop, Design and generate high quality test cases manual and automated scripts for Mobile, and APIs using automated tools to test the applications for all types of testing including functionality, regression, smoke, and end-to-end that align to business requirements functional specifications, use cases and/or user stories
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining current test automation framework and create new feature tests. Integrate automation suite to be part of a seamless deploy process
  • Software defects through manual and/or automated tests
  • Partner with Umpqua Dev teams to drive high-quality, on-time deliverables, improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the software development process, and participating in code reviews
  • Partner with Umpqua SRE teams to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the deployment process, and support
  • Partner with internal and external customer or representative to understand problem statement, desired outcomes, and requirements; contribute to the refinement of requirements and/or User Stories
  • Assist in promptly resolving deployment and/or production issues; use issue resolution as an opportunity to improve supportability of the custom software
  • Responsible for contributing to operational and engineering excellence and continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to the Agile Software Development Life Cycl

  • Maintain working knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations that apply to your position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field required
  • 3-5 years of software industry experience
  • Experience in developing and maintaining test automation of both Android and iOS physical devices for native and hybrid apps on cloud platforms (Azure, Sauce Labs, Brower Stack); preferred Azure
  • Experience with cloud test execution platforms: Azure App Center Test, AWS Device Farm; preferred Azure App Center Test
  • Experience creating automation suites using Mobile test frameworks (Xamarin, Appium, Xcode, and Android Studio); preferred Xamarin
  • Experience in developing and maintaining test automation of loosely coupled APIs (REST, GraphQL) using SOAP UI, Swagger, Postman, or other web service API testing tools
  • Experience with QA automation using modern programming languages (C#, Java, JavaScript); preferred C#
  • Experience with modern code editors (VS Code, Visual Studio), Azure DevOps, version control tools (GIT, GitHub, or other)
  • Working knowledge of UI automation tools (Selenium Webdriver, Cypress)
  • Working knowledge of ADA and Security testing
  • Proficient in Agile development practices
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming best practices, domain driven design, and software development methodologies
  • Ability to work independently as well as lead collaborative working sessions with internal teams
