Job Description
A career in Information Technology, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to support our core business functions by deploying applications that enable our people to work more efficiently and deliver the highest levels of service to our clients. You’ll focus on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC, developing and enhancing both client and internal facing applications within PwC, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for the Firm to drive strategic business growth. Our Information Technology Development team helps develop and supports internal information technology systems and applications for use by all staff levels. You’ll help our team develop programmes and applications that cater to PwC’s strategic technology needs using your knowledge of technical domains of application.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum Degree Required:
Bachelor Degree

Additional Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or in lieu of a degree, demonstrating, in addition to the minimum years of experience required for the role, three years of specialized training and/or progressively responsible work experience in technology for each missing year of college

Minimum Years of Experience:
6 year(s) of progressive roles managing IT system/software development and project management processes

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates a proven level of knowledge and/or ability to learn the following in support of technology solutions for a global professional services firm:

  • Providing technical leadership and influence across the team necessary for the organization to execute on new innovative programs. Establishes and oversees the delivery operating model across architecture, cloud, engineering, analytics, and platforms;
  • Enabling a collaborative working environment by identifying risks, helping troubleshoots, resolves, and escalates issues and risks to the next level and/or Product Owners, when necessary;
  • Demonstrating experience and passion for writing distributed, highly scalable and available backend systems using Java and Python;
  • Designing and implementing in our Next-Gen Architecture built on Microservices and Event Driven Design;
  • Leading independently with the continued development of the platform, its features and services, as well as a staff of developers;
  • Demonstrating experience with Knative, Docker (Docker compose, Dockerfile etc) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, AKS, EKS etc.);
  • Demonstrating experience using monitoring tools like Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana;
  • Demonstrating experience troubleshooting issues on a remote distributed system;
  • Working knowledge of Kafka, RDBMS such as Postgres, NoSql such as Cosmos, Apache Ni-Fi helpful;
  • Possessing Azure Cloud experience;
  • Being a quick learner with a sense of ownership, urgency, and drive; and,
  • Demonstrating abilities driving operational excellence and best practices.
