Job Description
A career in Information Technology, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to support our core business functions by deploying applications that enable our people to work more efficiently and deliver the highest levels of service to our clients. You’ll focus on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC, developing and enhancing both client and internal facing applications within PwC, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for the Firm to drive strategic business growth. Our Information Technology Development team helps develop and supports internal information technology systems and applications for use by all staff levels. You’ll help our team develop programmes and applications that cater to PwC’s strategic technology needs using your knowledge of technical domains of application.

Bachelor's degree or in lieu of a degree, demonstrating, in addition to the minimum years of experience required for the role, three years of specialized training and/or progressively responsible work experience in technology for each missing year of college

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates a proven level of knowledge and/or ability to learn the following in support of technology solutions for a global professional services firm:

  • Demonstrating proven ability for writing distributed, highly scalable and available backend systems using Java and Python;
  • Designing and implementing in our Next-Gen Architecture built on Microservices and Event Driven Design;
  • Demonstrating proven ability with Knative, Docker (Docker compose, Dockerfile, etc) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, AKS, EKS etc.);
  • Leading independently with the continued development of the platform, its features and services, as well as a staff of developers;
  • Demonstrating experience using monitoring tools like Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana;
  • Demonstrating experience troubleshooting issues on a remote distributed system;
  • Working knowledge of Kafka, RDBMS such as Postgres, NoSql such as Cosmos, Apache Ni-Fi helpful;
  • Being a quick learner with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive; and,
  • Demonstrating abilities driving operational excellence and best practices.
