The Product Specialist is responsible for providing accurate cost feedback regarding property improvements, restorations, and maintenance during construction, turn, and occupancy, and for assisting to hold vendors accountable for product expectations. Requirements -

• Researches and provides current product recommendations of construction, turn, and maintenance products involved with property improvements and maintenance.
• Provides assistance to employees regarding questions with maintenance and construction products. Trains staff on the use of product data and appropriate cost expectations.
• Collects, manages, analyzes, and reports on vendor product utilization from current and prospective vendors. Effectively communicates product expectations to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborates with the Vendor Management team to develop national product programs and drive vendor accountability.
• Investigates and implements new ways, and searches for new tools, to improve product efficiencies, comparisons, and data usability.
• Aggressively negotiates market pricing with vendors as needed.
• Provides assistance with bid evaluations as necessary.

Required Skills -

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent related experience required.
• 2-3 years’ experience in real estate, property management, or related field
• Product knowledge required
• Experience working in the construction industry with a comprehensive knowledge of construction products preferred
• Experience with contract and pricing negotiation preferred.
