PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE - TEMPORARY
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
Employees hired on or after October 15, 2021, are required to be fully vaccinated* against COVID-19 before beginning employment. If you receive a conditional offer of employment, a copy of your vaccination card must be provided at the time of background.
Current County employees hired on or before October 14, 2021, are required to provide a copy of their vaccine card showing they are fully vaccinated, or undergo Covid-19 diagnostic testing and wear a facemask in the workplace.
Employees who work at County locations subject to the California Department of Public Health State Public Health Officer order are required to be fully vaccinated by the following dates:

PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE - TEMPORARY
This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in our public health response. Assigned to the new T3 (Test, Trace, & Treat) Program, you will perform professional Public Health Nurse duties in program and/or community settings to help test and treat individuals that are COVID-19 confirmed or that may exhibit symptoms.
Temporary Public Health Nurse positions will be assigned a 40 hour per week schedule that may include weekends.

Required at time of application:
- Valid California Registered Nurse License; AND,
- A Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in nursing from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency.
- Valid Public Health Nurse Certificate from a State Public Health Nursing or other regulatory agency; AND,
- A valid CPR card is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment; AND,
- A valid National Provider Identification Number (NPI).
