We are seeking a Psychiatric Services Nurse in Senior Treatment for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Centennial Medical Center is the home of Parthenon Pavilion, which houses adult and geriatric patients both voluntary and involuntary with 132 inpatient acute beds. The Senior Treatment program focuses on various therapeutic and nursing interventions for our aging population in the community. Senior Treatment patients are those patients whom present fully cognitive with acute onset of psychiatric presentation such as mood and thought disorders, later life anxiety and depression, and a variety other diagnoses. The Senior Treatment program is a 22 bed unit centered around the Treatment Mall approach.

Job Summary:

• You will oversee and direct the care of psychiatric patients within the Senior Treatment Department.
• You will be the primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated care for your patients.
• You will oversee and direct the care of assisting personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients.
• You will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• You will demonstrate clinical knowledge of psychiatric nursing and maintains highest quality of comprehensive patient care.
• You will display effective communication skills and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients, families, physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• RN License (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
• Psychiatric or Behavioral Health Services experience preferred but not required
• Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with external and internal customers
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
