The Proposal Manager manages the entire process of developing responses to RFI/RFP/RFQ (RFX) projects. This includes maintaining schedules, organizing resources and writing compelling/concise content.

We are able to hire this position as a remote employee.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Proposal Management

  • Manages and schedules resources, project timelines, and production efforts to ensure timely completion and submission of RFX and presentation projects
  • Reviews RFXs to determine the scope of each project and identify the key deliverables
  • Leads the initial strategy meeting to discuss win strategy and key messages
  • Consults with sales, pricing, legal, operations, and other subject matter experts (SMEs) on the best ways to represent our solutions, staffing models, and service offerings in proposals and presentations
  • Completes the Proposal Development Worksheet and writes the top 3 key messages
  • Communicates the plan to the team and raises any issues to sales
  • Creates and manages the schedule and tracks/reports the progress of each project
  • Manages the completion or execution of forms and other documents needed for submission
  • Manages the print production and/or electronic submission of the final proposal/presentation
  • Acts as a consultant to the sales force regarding the RFP process; raises issues and assists in making sound business decisions.

Proposal Writing

  • Formats the document
    • Researches complex questions and works with subject matter experts to write answers
    • Writes customized responses that are not in Qorus, including the cover letter, executive summary, and customized response to current client proposals
    • Writes in accordance to Graebel style guidelines
    • Edits/proofreads the content of final projects
    • Assists the sales force in their efforts to guide clients or prospects in developing and executing RFXs

Required Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio
  • Ability to work effectively with others through collaboration and drive the project team toward a common goal
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Requires technical knowledge, training and understanding of Marketing, Communications, English & Business.
  • 1-5 years of proposal development or equivalent experience
  • Relocation industry experience preferred
  • Collaborative team-player and natural relationship builder with experience working closely with cross-functional teams at all levels
