Summary:
The Project Manager role is responsible for planning, procurement and execution of a project. The ideal candidate must work effectively with both customers and internal departments representing the Company in a professional manner at all times. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced, high pressure environment while maintaining excellent communication skills and outstanding time management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform reviews, mark ups, and take-off counts from 2D plan set drawings for anchorage, brace count and bill of materials.
- Coordinate with customers, shop and required vendors through all phases of submittal, release, manufacture, shipment and project close-out;
- Maintain all schedules to meet customer/project requirements;
- Attends meetings when necessary to facilitate project;
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects;
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget;
- Ensure resource availability and allocation;
- Use appropriate tracking methods to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs;
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation hard copies and/or electronic files;
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques;
- Report and escalate to management as needed;
- Manage the relationship with the client;
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred;
- Possess intermediate to advanced computer literacy skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel);
- Ability to define technical problems, collect data, establish facts, and develop conclusions drawing upon experience, research and input from peers and customers;
- Capable of properly identifying and modifying priorities as necessary;
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to frequent project changes;
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a friendly professional and positive attitude;
- Coordinate with designers, technicians and other personnel to incorporate concepts and information into drawing packages;
- Problem solving skills: listening to, interpreting and meeting the needs of others; diagnosing and rectifying problems;
- Skilled in proactively communicating in both oral and written form with sales and fabrication teams companywide;
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction;
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions, documented procedures and company policy;
- Ability to meet deadlines without constant supervision;
- Organized and orderly.
Working Conditions:
- Must function equally well in both an office and warehouse environment;
- A significant amount of tasks performed at a computer terminal.
