Job Description
  • Q2 is seeking a Project Manager for our Project Services group in Implementations. R eporting to an Implementations Delivery Manager and working closely with Implementation Engineers, Solutions Architects, 3rd-Party Vendors, and Clients, this individual will engage in multiple implementation projects concurrently. Primary project focus will be in the delivery of acquisitions, core conversions, mergers, bill pay conversions, data center moves, and other complex project types.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Communicate, set, and manage expectations with all project team members and stakeholders regarding project scope, duration, internal/external deliverables and due dates
  • Create project plans, monitor phase budgets, track and report on progress, manage and archive all internal/external project artifacts
  • Drive and encourage project team members to meet task due dates to ensure projects remain on track and expected billable dates are achieved
  • Work closely with Q2 resources to perform validation prior to hand off to Client
  • Proactively manage risk, develop mitigation strategy, and follow applicable escalation processes
  • Identify and appropriately respond to unplanned scope requests
  • In partnership with IE, triage Project Issues, assign to appropriate resource, set priorities, ensure Client SLA’s are met
  • Training/mentoring/knowledge sharing with peers, including publishing and improving Confluence content

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE :

  • Typically requires 3 - 4 years of previous work experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Project Management Methodology exposure preferred (PMP or PMI)
  • Familiarity with enterprise software deployment architecture and methodologies
  • Experience building documentation and project plans using Mavenlink, Excel, MS Project, and MS PowerPoint
  • Experience managing client expectations with a Client first attitude and commitment to satisfaction
  • Ability to organize and execute multi-facet software deployments
  • Capable of assessing project risks and mitigations
  • Ability to understand and convey technical terms and their application to audiences with varying degrees of exposure to these concepts
  • Possess project leadership qualities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with e xcellent people and teamwork skills
  • Ability to remain calm, diplomatic, composed, and cooperative when faced with escalations, conflict, or change
  • Attention to detail, exceptional follow-through, the ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Financial Services and enterprise software experience preferred
