Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Project Coordinator to join our Storage Sales and Account Management Team. Our Storage Sales and Account Management Team works with current and prospective customers to develop pallet racking solutions, competitively bid projects, manage current projects, and most importantly WIN business. This position will be focusing on providing project management during both the pre-sale and post-sale phases of projects.

Essential Functions

  • Interfacing with Sales, CAD Drafter/Designers, and other Project Managers supporting multiple storage projects
  • Providing project management duties to coordinate Apex customer, teams, and suppliers as required for project success
  • Providing input to technical documents for equipment to meet project needs
  • Supporting design team as initial point of contact for project questions from suppliers and/or field
  • Supporting installation contractor, customer, and sales during project implementation
  • Engaging design team for technical questions and/or issues
  • Providing project status updates internally and externally
  • Providing sales and management team with insights to past and visibility of possible future budget variances
  • Coordination of permit package creation
  • Facilitation of permit package process and revisions
  • Providing meeting minutes to team members
  • Generating, Maintaining, and tracking project schedules to ensure all deliverables are complete and provide resource requirement updates to management
  • Generation of material purchasing documentation coordinating with design team and sales
  • Working with suppliers and design team to coordinate drawing and approval schedule
  • Entering of orders into ERP system to generate and update project purchase orders
  • Performing onsite building readiness, field measurements, inventory checks, and material counts
  • Attending project and client meetings as required
  • Following and providing input for improvement of department processes
  • Working to expand knowledge of industry best practices and latest technology
  • Proactively seeking work for self

  • Being reliable and providing timely responses and consistent follow-up internally and externally
  • Attending company training as required

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 2 year degree in related field and/or project management experience
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Flexible and approachable

Hours and Travel

  • Flexible work hours

  • Travel as needed (up to 20%)
