Based in our Marshalltown, IA location, you will have overall responsibility and authority for implementation and execution of customer projects. AS A PROJECT MANAGER, YOU WILL:
  • Have a complete understanding of the project scope and requirements and have ownership for timely delivery, profitability, and price uplift.
  • Develop and own the project plan that includes schedules, milestones, procurement strategy, execution strategy, financial targets, resources, communications, and considerations of risk.
  • Be responsible to the Customer, Contractor, Emerson Impact Partner, and Company for overall success and execution of the project.
  • Negotiate the initial scope of the project, change orders, progress payments, Terms & Conditions, and all additions/expansions to the project with the Customer, Emerson Impact Partner, and Global Industry Sales personnel.
  • Quote and own lead-time and commitments to manufacturing specs during project pursuit.
  • Lead internal and external communication meetings throughout the life of the project to provide updates, milestones, and progress.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • BA or BS Degree
  • 5 years of Project Management experience or equivalent experience with demonstrated ability of Project Management concepts including scheduling, planning, order management, etc.
  • Customer oriented
  • Negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both written and verbal
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people
  • Ability to influence and motivate
  • Ability to comprehend technical details/technical literacy
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP)
