Job Description

Summary:

Aquatech is a global leader in water purification systems technology for both industrial and infrastructure markets located in the United States and internationally. We support our clients with sustainable water purification systems and technologies that are solving the worlds water scarcity challenges.

Aquatech has an immediate need for a fulltime Project Engineer IMP to work in our Canonsburg, PA office. The hours are Monday Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. The Project Engineer IMP will will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.

The ideal candidate will have excellent math skills, applied creativity, mechanical skills, problem solving skills, team oriented, customer service driven, and attention to detail. This candidate will also have experience in a project related industry.


Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or related field)
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a project related industry
  • Prior water/wastewater infrastructure project experience preferred.

Job Description:

  • Provide general project management support to the project manager and the team.
  • Provide status, control and progress reporting support services on projects.
  • Prepare project schedules in MS Projects per project requirement
  • Analyze validity of schedules submitted by outside parties contributing to the project.
  • Monitor actual progress, compare to baseline and report progress against schedule.
  • Analyze and report productivity and trends.
  • Forecast the impacts on schedule of proposed changes.
  • Collect detailed project status and generating status reports for the overall project.
  • Various other support aspects of projects as assigned.
  • Review of project specifications
  • Preparation of project documents
  • Co-ordination with the project team
  • Verify the project progress & prepare the monthly progress report
  • Co-ordinate the document submissions & resubmissions to customer & vendors.
  • Vendor follow-up & expediting
  • Periodic vendor visits to monitor the progress
  • Review of requisitions for project spec compliance before placement of PO
  • Attend Customer meetings as required
  • Support correspondence with customer via Project manager.
  • Internal communication with all departments & AIC Assembly shop.
  • Track material status in SAP & update project status
  • Preparation of packing slips & related shipment documentation
  • Site visits during construction phase
  • Work autonomously without constant guidance

Skill Requirements:

  • Able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
  • Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD engineering drawings and P&IDs.
  • Able to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain positive attitude.
  • Ability to work with multiple disciplined projects.
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks or projects with attention to detail.
  • Ability to use MS Office software at high level of proficiency.
  • Ability to use SAP is an advantage.
  • Ability to use MS Projects is an advantage.
  • Experience with EIT
  • Knowledge of industrial water and wastewater treatment systems is preferred.

Physical Job Demands:
