Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Project Delivery Manager, Customer & Marketing, Human Services

Transformation in Portland, OR and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.


Work You’ll Do

Project Delivery Manager, Customer & Marketing, Human Services Transformation: Transforming how clients deliver services to customers. Delivering large, complex systems development and transformation projects to Human Service agencies across federal, state, and local government agencies. Partnering with clients to transform service delivery to those most in need. Managing project deliverables. Assessing and diagnosing problems analyzing the interactions between key drivers. Providing solutions to client problems through application of personal experience and standard methods and tools. Validating solutions with subject matter experts. Understanding the key components and tracking progress against work plan and identifying potential issues while staying focused on identified priorities. Ensuring that all the technical processes are not only thoroughly documented as a client deliverable as guidelines for standard development on the project but also are followed by the development team members. Defining clear business objectives and desired outcomes to guide own work and the work of others. Performing assessments of existing information systems, and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities. Estimating time and resources needed for the development work. Functioning as integrators between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients’ business needs. Defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, processing design, prototyping, and testing custom technology solutions, and supporting system implementation. Leading architectural decisions for changes in the critical components and during redesigning. Managing project deliverables, identifying scope of work, creating estimations and development work plans, and handling the development of applications against work plans. Utilizing best practices for software development and leading and contributing to software architecture principles and design standards. Working across all phases of the Agile, Waterfall, and project delivery lifecycles for designing, developing, testing and implementing Web-based solutions for enterprise-level clients. Interfacing directly with client stakeholders in gathering functional and technical requirements, analyzing client requirements, and translating requirements into project designs including preparing design documents, technical documents, and data models to deliver solutions that satisfy client needs using Microsoft (MS) Visio and MS SharePoint. Using MS Visio, StarUML (Unified Modeling Language), Eclipse, TOAD (Tools for Oracle Application Development), WebSphere, IBM RTC (Rational Team Concert), Jira, DB2 Client, SoapUI (Simple Object Access Protocol User Interface), Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), JavaScript, HTML (HyperText Markup Language), and REST (Representational State Transfer) web service for designing and developing enterprise application solutions. Tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverable status to ensure timely project delivery and communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders. Coordinating project responsibilities of cross-functional onshore and offshore team members to ensure efficient completion of project tasks. This position supervises 2 Project Delivery Specialists.

  • 80% Travel required nationally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, any STEM degree or a related field. Five years of progressively responsible experience in the offered position or a position in a related occupation. Must have five years of experience with:
  • Working across all phases of the Agile, Waterfall, and project delivery lifecycles for designing, developing, testing and implementing Web-based solutions for enterpriselevel clients;
  • Interfacing directly with client stakeholders in gathering functional and technical requirements, analyzing client requirements, and translating requirements into project designs including preparing design documents, technical documents, and data models to deliver solutions that satisfy client needs using MS Visio and MS SharePoint;
  • Using MS Visio, StarUML, Eclipse, TOAD, WebSphere, IBM RTC, Jira, DB2 Client, SoapUI, Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, CSS, JavaScript, HTML, and REST web service for designing and developing enterprise application solutions;
  • Tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverable status to ensure timely project delivery and communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Coordinating project responsibilities of cross-functional onshore and offshore team members to ensure efficient completion of project tasks;
  • Supporting and performing Unit, SIT, and UAT testing using JUnit and Mockito to ensure successful design and implementation of project solutions;
  • Managing project deliverables, identifying scope of work, creating estimations and development work plans, and handling the development of applications against work plans;
  • Utilizing best practices for software development and leading and contributing to software architecture principles and design standards.
