Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and establish the end-to-end Field Action Execution process
  • Lead the creation of an internal quality system to monitor the performance of the Rivian field service providers with Quality and IT
  • Lead reviews and collaborate with other teams regarding product issue management and full end to end countermeasure/containment activities
  • Support the development and operations of the corporate quality and warranty system from the Service perspective
  • Attend and participate in daily field quality performance related reviews to address current product issues
  • Support and assist investigations of any in-field product performance issues
  • Collaborate with various Rivian teams, including Homologation, Service, Customer Quality, Legal, Corporate Strategy, Engineering, Manufacturing, and others to ensure not only compliance is met, but the methods by which Rivian can proactively utilize laws and regulations to support EV proliferation
  • Manage the execution of Field Actions within a timely matter by collaborating with Service, Quality, Engineering, and Legal
  • Monitor field performance data regarding Warranty, Field Product Reports, Technical Support, etc.
  • Monitor and escalate identified product issues to the proper channels and working paths
  • Lead development of “Warranty Cost Savings” process relating to the implementation of Technical Service Bulletin
  • Establish and assist with the operating and the maintaining of reporting standards and guidelines related to regulatory compliance
  • Prepare, support, and maintain content for regulated submissions
  • Track project status and seek efficiency improvements
  • Partner with stakeholders and provide risk assessment
  • Intelligently read, understand, and interpret standards, laws, and regulations
  • Support other cross-functional initiatives in accordance with industry requirements

Requirements

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • 8+ years of experience in the automotive sector
  • 3+ years of experience in warranty and quality management
  • Understanding of state and federal regulations, such as NHTSA, DOT, FMVSS, BAR, etc.; in addition to International standards
  • Knowledge of legislative bills that have a direct effect on After-Sales/Service, such as Right to Repair
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Exceptional ability to interface, coordinate and collaborate effectively with individuals and groups
  • Dynamic and able to succeed in an ambiguous environment whilst establishing standards
  • Possesses passion to provide exceptional customer service and ownership experience
  • Experience in Confluence, JIRA, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and Excel is a plus
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time
