Osborne is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator for Children Family Youth Services (CYFS) team. The Program Coordinator supports the Family Services Specialist (FSS) in their role through supervision and program analytics, best practices from the field, and the knowledge of Reentry. This position reports to the Vice President of Children Family Youth Services.

This position has a hybrid schedule that consists of two days in the field (Queensboro Correctional Facility) and three days remote. The schedule is subject to change without notice. This is a Monday through Friday workweek.

Requirements:

Responsibilities

  • Provides regular supervision to the FSS that focuses on strength-based leadership, group facilitation, discharge planning, data recording, and entry.
  • Ensures that staff defines and implements a discharge plan based on participants' needs.
  • Updates group curriculum.
  • Prepares schedule for groups.
  • Recruits for groups participants
  • Audits and maintains participants' files and attendance, records, and group notes.
  • Must be able to develop strong relationships with facility staff and stakeholders
  • Monthly and quarterly reporting is required
  • Coordinates with funders, program staff, and Program Analyst to ensure that the program goals and reporting requirements are being met or exceeded
  • Supports the development staff in shaping relevant grant proposals and government and private funding sources.
  • Ability to provide case management to young adults and staff while maintaining timely deadlines

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Experience

  • A minimum of three years of experience in supervising in a reentry correctional setting is required.
  • Experience in the discharge planning is preferred.
  • Experience in working with private funders and contracts is preferred.

Additional Skills

  • Must be able to obtain clearance from NYS DOCCS. (New York State Department Of Corrections and Community Supervision)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Skill in using and learning data software systems.
  • Ability to manage time and adjust quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Highly skilled in MS (Microsoft Word) and XL spreadsheets computer programming
  • Trauma-informed perspective is a must.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • The position is regularly required to travel amongst Osborne's program sites at Queensboro correctional facility and in Brooklyn.
