Located in Jacksonville, Florida, Naval Value Stream specializes in marine applications for surface ships and submarines. Our dedicated teams create specialty naval parts that aid the U.S. Navy in executing their mission, ensuring excellence every day.

Responsibilities:

The Production Supervisor manages shop floor personnel and work cell team leaders, established and maintains continuous improvement initiatives and sets day to day goals of the work cell. Oversees cell productivity and guides scheduling, sequencing of work, and production innovation to optimize production.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly responsible for a team of 20+ production technicians
  • Responsible for the schedule, quality, safety, morale and overall performance of the work cell
  • Support Root Cause/Corrective Action, PFMEA and APQP activities to lower operational risk
  • Support ergonomic and hazard activities to lower safety risk
  • Support design and set up of new work cells using Lean manufacturing tools
  • Perform daily GEMBA and RTPR in order to provide Tier reports to the Operations Manager
  • Ensure that team is staffed and trained to meet operational requirements
  • Coordinating with internal quality to conduct DCMA buy offs

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or equivalent experience
  • Currently holds or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Preferred:

  • Operating in a classified manufacturing environment
  • Composite material manufacturing experience
  • New product introduction experience
  • PFMEA process experience
  • Crane and rigging experience
  • Industrial Engineering and standard work creation experience
  • Six Sigma Green belt or equivalent
  • Creating and executing training plans
  • Experience with government contracting and DCMA quality buy offs
