Job Description

The Production Director is directly responsible for all of the technical details in the audio, video, and lighting for the weekend experience. The Production Director manages all AVL equipment, including the purchase, maintenance, organization, and operation of all AVL equipment for all location, while adding value through the use of technology, building strategies and solutions that meet the vision and goals of Turning Point Church.

Some duties required of this position:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the production department including the coordinating with staff to support administrative, service, event, maintenance and other production functions
  • Responsible for all production aspects of the Sunday weekend service experience and assist with supporting all productive volunteers at all campuses
  • Prepare stages for all weekend rehearsals and message-based presentation
  • Leads, recruits, develops, and trains all live production volunteer teams and staff members
  • Consult with vendors and manufacturing representatives to discuss any and all AVL equipment/system changes and contract updates and latest technology solutions available
  • Create and manage an annual production budget and oversee all associated expenses

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience managing and leading a church production and technology team
  • Strong knowledge of AVL systems in live production (camera operation, switching, theatrical lighting, and audio)
  • Have working experience with various software applications (Planning Center, Pro Presenter, Logic & Ableton).
  • Strong leadership instincts and a proven track record of leading high quality individuals
  • Possess expertise in aligning and leveraging technology for advancing the church vision and mission
  • Possess strong life-giving relational & management skills
  • Strong technology and business acumen
  • Ability to develop and retain high quality technology professionals
