WHAT YOU'LL DO


The Email & Events Automation Product Owner is a leader on the Marketing & Client Team Tribe who has the overall responsibility of managing BCG’s Marketing Automation platform, Marketo, and partnering with other squads in the tribe to integrate Marketo into the tech stack.   • Manage product definition and delivery, driving sprint goals and scope through prioritized stories
  • Implement Agile principles and methodologies, including owning the team backlogs, defining and prioritizing epics, features, user stories and other artifacts to support development goals in collaboration with product management team
  • Help implement proof of concepts and pilots to validate value of innovation, including defining project scope, requirements and success metrics
  • Represent the voice of the customer by working with the broader team and stakeholders to understand user personas, pain-points and journeys
  • Build relationships and trust across team members and with all levels of the BCG organization to collaborate and strive towards the team’s goals and best outcomes
  • Manage and facilitate meetings in a skilled manner that it is inclusive and collaborative in leadership style
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identifying potential issues and devising contingency plans. React to change with flexibility, efficiency and good humor
  • Provide and accept feedback to all project members on a regular basis regarding product, process improvements and other team issues
  • Design, monitor and report on product KPIs

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  • BS or higher, preferably in Marketing Technology or similar
  • 10 years related work experience, preferably in marketing automation and product development
  • Deep experience in marketing automation, including linking product development with business outcomes (ideally in professional services firms)
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, user centered design and lean project processes preferred
  • Must have experience managing business requirements through all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Must be able to facilitate meetings and workshops, keeping participants engaged, attaining outcomes and deliverables
  • Technical skills
    • Experience with Marketing automation tools (Marketo, Hubspot, etc.)
    • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO) or other management tools
    • Strong experience with MS Suite (Excel, Powerpoint)

YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will be a leader on the Marketing and Client Team Tribe, which primarily collaborates across Marketing, IT and the Client Team. Your days will be spent working with all levels of the BCG organization including Managing Directors and Partners, their client teams, assistants. You will also work closely with external vendors
