A little about you

You have experience in a product management role. You have a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a concentration in Marketing. Ideally, you have 3+ years of experience in consumer goods, multi-category or multi-company marketing, innovation, or product development. You understand the product management process, can develop robust business cases for New Products using market research, consumer insights etc. Additionally, you have experience with injection molding/ manufacturing environment

You are a strategic thinker, entrepreneurial, and creative. You have strong insights into business and can comprehend the effects decisions have on a business. You are creative in your approach, able to develop unique and compelling ideas but are able to dive into the executable details to ensure it is realistic. You consider yourself financially savvy and have a “compete to win” mentality.

You are a strong communicator . You work well with others and can confidently communicate, whether in-person, on the phone or via email, with a variety of people, including those you have never met. You are a confident presenter and writer, always communicating complex ideas and technical information clearly. Giving presentations is no problem for you.

You are a problem solver. If you don’t have the answer, you can figure it out or find it in a timely manner. You have a lot of ideas when it comes to troubleshooting and are determined to fix the problem at hand. You also recognize when issues need to be escalated for a prompt solution. You love being resourceful and can thrive in unclear situations!

You are a self-starter. You have the unique ability to be self-motivated in accomplishing overall corporate directives. You work well on your own and don't require oversight from your manager. They trust you to execute accurately and with little to no error, even when you have multiple projects to manage at any given time.

Project management is a strong suit for you. Aggressive deadlines and large projects do not scare you. After all, you are an excellent multi-tasker and never let a to-do item slip past you. Even when you have multiple projects to manage with competing priorities, you deliver results on time and error free.

You are willing to jump right in . You love helping others and are willing to support the team wherever needed for systems. You don’t need a ton of supervision because you’re accountable and can juggle a variety of tasks as they come in. You’re also a quick learner, which makes new tasks easy for you.

Day-to-Day Work Examples

We support growth, opportunity, and variety, which means your day-to-day has the potential to adapt with you and your passions. If you’re not challenged and growing, neither are we. For starters, though, here are some day-to-day examples of what you will be doing:

  • Lead in the development, implementation and management of strategy & product plans for assigned categories.
  • Gather and prioritize product requirements from the consumer and market viewpoint.
  • Deliver consistent, profitable revenue growth from new and current customers by supporting a cross-functional team in the development and execution of products, programs, & promotions.
  • Manage the lifecycle of the current product categories/portfolios to maximize profitability.
  • Support the acquisition, synthesis, and implementation of actionable insights and outcomes from market research on target consumers, industry trends, competitors, influencers and market segments.
  • Develop unique and compelling new product strategies to fit identified market opportunities.
  • Establish positioning and brand strategy for top opportunities and develop brand creative and packaging as required.
  • Work in partnership with outside agencies and internal partners to plan and execute new product launch and brand-building programs.
  • Develop and lead strategy into new product categories within the big box retail environment
  • Identify injection molding manufacturing opportunities for current and new product categories in order to leverage our regional footprint/vertical integration
  • Assist in the prioritization of molding manufacturing opportunities across several strategic levers
  • Work with members of different functions in building robust business cases to support opportunities
  • Identify, research and recommend M&A opportunities
  • 25% travel including international (Covid permitting)
