Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Product Manager to join our Member Growth team.

Oscar is a technology-driven, consumer-focused health insurance startup founded in 2012 and headquartered in New York City. Our goal is to make health insurance simple, transparent, and human. We need your help to do so.

Oscar Product is a growing, fast-paced team using technology and design to revolutionize healthcare. As a Product Manager, you'll play a key role in helping Oscar solve problems and accelerating your team's execution. You'll have the opportunity to work on a range of high impact problems related to how Oscar members receive care, focusing on helping virtual clinicians treat and manage health issues by building an innovative clinical platform.

In this role, you'll join our Member Growth product team and will work on a range of high impact problems related to how our Sales and Marketing teams invest in and incentivize member growth channels. You will play a key role in improving the data-driven technology that powers our broker compensation platform, and will partner closely with Operations to deliver an efficient and top notch experience for our brokers. Brokers play a pivotal role in supporting our members as they navigate the complexities of healthcare.

You will report into a Director of Product. This is a remote role, you will work remotely in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington. Note, this list of states is subject to change.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for product investments that drive our insurance broker compensation platform.
  • Define KPIs to measure business and operational impacts, and relentlessly identify improvements.
  • Articulate crisp and thorough requirements and clearly communicate them across stakeholders, incorporating data and user research insights.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers and designers to ship innovative functionality that advances business logic and reimagines internal users' workflows.
  • Work in lockstep with operations and sales to streamline processes, create effective internal productivity tools and deliver a seamless incentive experience.
  • Problem solve issues across teams to quickly diagnose root cause and move to resolution factoring in trade-offs on speed, scalability and quality.

You will be located in our NYC office.

Requirements:

  • You love to collaborate. You are motivated by listening, learning and helping engineers, designers, operations experts and cross functional partners around you do their best work.
  • You are an exceptional prioritizer. There are a million ways to make the experience better - we can't fix all of them at once! Where will you start and why? You push for rigorous prioritization and drive towards decisions.
  • You lead with empathy. You understand other disciplines and bring everyone together using clear communication and structured thinking.
  • You are an operator who thinks end-to-end. You can look at a complex problem and create a solution from the fundamental details to the top-level goals.
  • You are experienced. You have worked directly with engineers in product management roles for 2+ years.
