Product Manager, Data

THE ROLE

The Product Manager, Data is responsible for defining the strategy and roadmap for Invoice2Go's data infrastructure. The key objective for this role is to enable teams to make timely, informed decisions by increasing the availability and quality of our data assets.

This is an opportunity for a product manager with a technical background to join a high-performance, product-led company and develop the future of our critical data capability.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product, the position will partner with the data engineering team and work closely with marketing, product, analytics and finance teams. You will also work with senior leaders in product and marketing as well as external partners to realise operational efficiencies.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Partner with the Data Engineering Manager to establish and evolve the data strategy
• Form a deep understanding of the data infrastructure and its primary uses
• Work closely with the data squad to deliver reliable data infrastructure and assets
• Build relationships with key stakeholders to develop a cross-functional prioritisation process
• Identify improvement opportunities and develop business cases for investment
• Define product objectives and define collaborative key results with the data squad
• Stay abreast of key industry trends and technologies within data engineering

Experience/Knowledge:

• Experience working with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, Analytics and Engineering;
• Proven knowledge of modern data infrastructure and the role it plays within an organization;
• Prior experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Business Analyst or Data Analyst is preferred;
• Experience building and launching technical products at leading tech / SaaS companies;
• Proven experience in Agile product development and continuous delivery environment;
• Experience establishing relationships and negotiating terms with commercial partners;

Skills/Behaviours:

• Core product management skills around managing scope, stakeholders, milestones, creating user stories, tracking requirements and acceptance criteria
• Structured thinking and communication skills
• Comfortable using experimentation and iterative development to drive product improvements
• Adept working with analytics tools like Amplitude but comfortable diving into SQL if needed
• Stakeholder management of both C suite level and across other business functions
• Evidenced improvement in their skills and knowledge across a broad range of topics

QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Engineering or a related field
