Job Description

The Applications Development Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
  • Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
  • Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals
  • Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources
  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years experience leading teams, staffing optimization and people development
  • 8+ years’ experience with senior technology engineering and leadership experience
  • 4+ years’ with project management experience
  • 3+ years’ experience working in Financial Services or a large complex environment managing global teams
  • Leader with knowledge of a Technology organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the organization in managing existing and new risks and initiatives; bringing knowledge and experience to identify control weaknesses, analyze root cause, develop and drive resolutions
  • Strong leadership and management skills, demonstrated ability to lead global teams direct and matrix reporting lines.
  • Ability to develop and drive major projects with defined milestones and deliverables to resolve risk and control issues. Ability to work effectively in a large global cross-functional organization
  • Adept at developing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, in order to foster trust and influence key decisions-must have experience with C-suite

Job Purpose:

Insight is regulatory reporting platform and looking for product owner who can understand regulatory and management reporting requirement working with clients and implement technology solution. Lead should able to manage 10+ scrum teams, able to architect complex solutions with simplicity, ability to solve technical problem and have great sense of ownership. Candidate should able to implement requirement keeping digital first in mind and provide excellence delivery. Candidate responsibilities includes solution architecture, designing, ensuring best practices followed by scrum team , ensure timely delivery of regulatory commitments, people management, mentoring team members, building teams, retaining/nurturing talent, application development oversight and interaction with other technologists across the location. You will be a good communicator, who can work effectively with both local as well as remote teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Hands on Java, J2EE, Spring batch, Mongo and Angular technologies
  • Experience in implementing product with micro service based architecture
  • Extensive understating in ECS and AWS cloud technologies with CI/CD pipeline
  • Demonstrated leadership, people and project management skills
  • Understanding Finance and regulatory business will be plus
