Title: Product & Application Manager - Air Movement & Fire Safety
Reporting to: President
Location: USA
Main Purpose:
The role comprises of two essential aspects which will contribute to the execution of the companys strategic plan:
- Product Management: You will own the US Product Range and its development and be required to understand and translate the voice of the market & its requirements into tangible improvements to align the US Air Movement product range to the market demands.
- Application Management: You will be able to support, champion and drive the companys ambition to establish its presence in our chosen core segments. This includes, but is not limited to, promoting, and representing the company in the marketplace to build equity in the brand as a technical application ambassador for our customer base. This includes involvement in key Industry Bodies and customers.
You will be responsible for defining, executing & measuring the success of the individual product/market strategies as well as coordination of new product introduction with the engineering team.
Product Range will be manufactured in our US Plant and will require continual improvement to achieve the business plan goals. There will be OEM / Private label products which will be sold through the rep channels and will form part of the range. Alignment with the UK Centre of Excellence is key and will involve working with the UK Engineering & Product Management functions
You will manage the full product life-cycle from market investigation, through product development to launch and finally, withdrawal; coordinating these activities with the local team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of product marketing plans:
- Developing the value proposition
- Working with the marketing functions to deliver marketing collateral and sales tools
- Collation of market knowledge and development of commercial plans

- Investigation & validation of NPI opportunities

Technical Skills & Industry Knowledge
Strong Aerodynamic grounding from either industry or education background (or both)

Demonstrate a passion for the product/services
Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite including strong Excel skills
Understanding of value proposition sales tools and techniques

Experience
5+ years industry experience in a commercial role (sales, marketing, product management)
Experience of building collaborative relationships with customers and/or strategic partners
Experience within a manufacturing organisation
Experience within technical / engineering organisations
Experience of working in a multinational environment / Org.
Leadership & People Management
Solid evidence of leadership skills within cross functional teams
The ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholder groups (commercial, technical, internal, external)
Has experience of breaking down silos
Qualifications
Degree or comparable industry experience.
Full driving licence
Valid Passport
Technical background (education / hands on)
