Process Operator II_ Machine Operator (2nd & 3rd Shift) G5

The Role

At MAPEI our Machine Operators (Process Operator II) are key members of our production operations. In this role, you will be responsible for performing tasks to set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment in the Manufacturing Plant. You will operate computerized production equipment that is designed to break up, grind, mix, and transport ingredients for final processing. To be successful in this role you should be proficient with computers and willing to get your hands dirty a bit. MAPEI Corporate Video

• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment, including automatic and manual machines, hand tools and equipment
• Prepare, blend and package ingredients for internal use or sale.
• Maintain accurate written and electronic records as required by specific tasks
• Use computers and some manual measuring devices, including but not limited to: digital/manual scales, pumps, hand scoops, buckets, bags, supersacks.
• Prepare packaging materials, applying labels to containers, stack, and palletize products.
• Operate various types of warehouse equipment, as needed; industrial lift trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
• Perform other duties as required.

• To be successful in this role you should be willing to get your hands dirty a bit.
• You must be mechanically inclined and have experience in a manufacturing or process type of environment.
• You must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• You should be proficient and comfortable with computers.
• Demonstrate proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Have the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
• You must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Forklift experience/certification is a plus.
• Must be able to accommodate the designated shift hours: 1st shift (days), 2nd shift (3:00 pm – 11:00 am approx.) or a 3rd shift (10:00 pm to 6:30 am approx.)
