Overview

Wolseley Industrial Group – Supply Chain Services has a position open for a Continuous Improvement Specialist to support our customer Mallinckrodt, with locations in St. Louis MO, Raleigh, NC., and Hobart NY

As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will have oversight and achievement expectations of customer cost savings goals and commitments. You will have overall responsibility of driving improvements, understand what it takes to fully specify equipment for purchase, have a sense of what small variations have a huge impact, and have a respect for quality assurance checks on critical parts.

This role will be based out of St. Louis, MO or Raleigh, NC

You Will
  • Identify critical opportunities within the assigned scope of work

  • Manage improvement project and activities, from conception through the conclusion

  • Align with the organization the objectives and resources needed to drive the improvement plan

  • Establish specific success criteria, timelines, actions, and metrics for the improvement plan

  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement solutions using Problem Solving techniques

  • Develop necessary training to increase capability/skills in each operational team

  • Track and Measure results from projects

  • Implement Standard Work Processes to sustain the results

  • Work with other facilities worldwide to share and reapply ideas and increase technical efficiency

  • Reports directly to Site Operations Leader or Site Engineering Leader

  • Partners directly with Operations Department Leaders, with Engineering Leaders, and with Maintenance group

You Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science required

  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, product development, manufacturing science and technology, sterilization, process validation, and/or process engineering is required

  • Familiarization with global regulations on drugs, medical devices, combination products, or validation/qualification requirements

  • Time management skills to work on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially mechanical, chemical, and logistical

Even Better
  • Direct experience with controls and mechanical engineering design or maintenance repair.

  • Procurement or specification of equipment or instruments are preferred from the life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, or Petrochemical industry.

Travel Expectations
  • Domestic travel 25%
