As a PRN team member you will have the flexibility to coordinate your schedule to fit your availability with a one shift per month requirement.

What You’ll Do

You will play a vital role to ensure we deliver on our Mission to provide quality care to every patient and unmatched service to every partner while continuously improving the standard of care for often overlooked demographics.

As a Correctional Dialysis Biomedical Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting all aspects of our dialysis equipment including water treatment systems for our on-site units.

This unit is located in:

Somerset, Pennsylvania within SCI - Laurel Highlands

Muncy, Pennsylvania within SCI - Muncy

Pittsburg, Pennsylvania within Allegheny County Jail


Equipment for this facility includes:

Fresenius 2008 Series Machines and Marcor and/or Ameriwater RO Systems

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have Dialysis Equipment and Water Treatment System repair experience
  • Fresenius Level 1 dialysis machine maintenance certification preferred
  • Valid Driver's License issued in the employee's state of residence
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand and satisfactorily communicate in English
  • Proven dependability and team player
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains, repairs and troubleshoots machines, ancillary equipment and water treatment system following established procedures. Also maintains the physical plant as directed.
  • Helps to maintain a neat and clean environment.
  • Contributes to the harmonious and constructive working relationships with all staff members to promote a positive and productive atmosphere.
  • Promotes a teamwork approach by offering information, advice and assistance to all unit staff members in a positive, courteous and cooperative manner.
