Job Description
Printpack's manufacturing plant in Elgin, IL is seeking qualified candidates to fill the positions of Press Assistant for 2nd or 3rd Shift (4 pm - midnight or midnight - 8 am).

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED

  • Prior experience running Rotogravure press preferred

  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred

  • Requires standing for long periods

  • Requires lifting of 50 lbs

  • Basic computer skills

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  • Assist Roto-gravure printing press operator
  • Hang new rolls of printed packaging
  • Splice rolls
  • Remove completed rolls
  • Monitor machines for proper running condition
  • Enter/retrieve data into computer
  • Monitor inks/adhesives
  • Monitor progress of running job
  • Communicate with peers and supervisory staff concerning production
  • Perform housekeeping duties as needed around equipment
