The Press Assistant II assists in the routine aspects of printing press operation, including jogging signatures and removal and replacement of skids and continually reviewing signature quality.

Job Description:
The Press Assistant II assists in the routine aspects of printing press operation, including jogging signatures and removal and replacement of skids and continually reviewing signature quality.
Essential Job Functions:
- The ability to take stacks using repetitive hand/wrist movement, off of the end of a press and stack product on skids from floor level.
- The ability to stand for 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, with a 4-week shift rotation, along with overtime as per the production schedule.
- The ability to communicate with other members of the staff.
- The ability to remove skids by using Big Joe lift and hand trucks.
- The ability to read and write.
- Ability to lift stacks of end boards as needed.
- Lift rolls of banding strap as needed.
- Moving logs as needed without lifting them (i.e. by standing them up or lying them down).
- Ability to adjust stacker while using a touch screen.
Marginal Job Functions:
- The ability to utilize downtime effectively for general cleaning tasks in your work area as assigned to you by your supervisor.
