Job Summary:

Position Overview:


The Practice Manager will be responsible for the business and operational functions of UCM’s OBGYN and Breast Care Center ambulatory offices. Essential to this role is the individual’s ability to develop close working partnerships with supported Providers and office teams. As a Business Manager, the individual will be spearheading process improvements to drive operational efficiency and growth initiatives. Regional travel is a must, as a consistent presence in the offices being supported is a critical component to sustained success. Assists with operations, projects, contracts, budgets and program development. Provides administrative leadership and mentoring to the UCM ambulatory office(s) through development, implementation, and maintenance of standards, and administrative operational functions in collaboration with UCM leadership.


Responsibilities

  • Achieving business goals, revenue and profitability objectives through a respectful, forward thinking and motivational style.
  • Continuous assessment of all staffing needs and supports recruitment efforts for the practices.
  • Supporting daily office operations within the office(s) when necessary.
  • Welcomes new staff, coordinates and assists with orientation of new office staff, including Providers.
  • Takes the lead in educating staff on all aspects of their respective positions.
  • Assists with operational improvement initiatives related to changes in regulations or UCM policy (privacy, compliance, billing, etc.)
  • Assists with operations, projects, contracts, budgets and new program development.
  • Manages workforce within department budget and control overtime to maximize value for effort.
  • Monitors and provides feedback on financial procedures and processes for new services and programs.
  • Monitors, assists and provides feedback on physician/provider templates, schedules and productivity.
  • Recommends staffing, provides justification for additional staff and reclassification

of staff roles.

  • Manages the fiscal resources and demonstrates an efficient use of resources (labor, services, supplies/materials, communication/data and space).
  • Improves patient relations with service recovery as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree
  • Minimum of two years progressive experience in a health care environment or equivalent.
  • Experience with advanced specialized or technical training in scheduling, registration, electronic medical records and billing.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational and critical decision-making skills.
  • Microsoft Office skills required.
