Job Summary:
As part of the PPAA regional team, manages and modifies databases and performs analysis to improve results. Manages partnerships with tech vendors and oversees system maintenance for data platforms used at PPAA. Provides logistical data support to the PPAA team.

Essential Functions:
Manages and modifies databases and oversees data systems for Public Affairs. Performs analysis and makes recommendation for improvement. Works with both team and vendors on functionality and troubleshooting related to system use. Manages the various types of data including volunteer, email, and voter file databases, and texting and messaging platforms. Works with the VPs and Directors to develop targeting. Trains staff on data tracking, usage and best practices. Provides a variety of data and tech support to the PPAA team and community partners.

This is a full-time, exempt position and fully remote.

Salary range for this position: $44,365-$64,329 depending on experience.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Works with the VPs and Directors to manage Voter Activation Network, (VAN) to optimize results. Modifies tags, lines and codes in the script to achieve the desired results. Works with the organizing team to ensure consistent tracking or coding of volunteer engagement and voter education programs.
  • Runs reports to analyze various demographics to inform organizing and political programs. Utilizes census data, voter file data and modeling to create further refinements.
  • Develops and runs reports and performs an analysis and makes recommendations for organizing programs.
  • Coordinates the various types of data including volunteer, email, and voter file databases for six states.
  • Runs monthly reports and provides analysis and reviews to the VPs and Organizing team as needed. Oversees implementation and success of new data platforms at Advocates. Work with vendors, community partners, and PPFA to fulfill data requests while ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
  • Performs database management and analysis. Works to analyze data and systems to streamline and create efficiencies and consistent data tracking and reporting.
  • Trains Field Organizers and other PPAA staff on data tracking and best practices. Works with vendors, community partners and program managers to ensure consistent data tracking and usage cross-program over time.
  • Provides a variety of logistical data support to the PPVNH team and community partners. Logistical support may include coordinating the candidate endorsement questionnaire process, preparing data and materials for direct voter contact, tracking minutes, and troubleshooting a variety of issues to ensure that each action is supported with the proper tools, materials and information.
  • Maintains team and vendor confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

You’ll need to have:
  • High school diploma required. BA/BS in related field preferred
  • Some organizing or political experience required. Prior experience in community organizing and power building preferred.
  • Experience and demonstrated expertise with the Voter Activation Network (VAN) or Vote Builder required
  • Minimum of two years’ work experience performing a support role and utilizing computer skills, including knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
  • CRM software and web content management experience preferred
  • Prior experience with bulk email management systems such as Convio or Every Action preferred.
  • Proven track record of successful work in a team environment. Proven track record of working in fast paced environment and multi-tasking.

Education:
  • High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
  • Some organizing or political experience required.
  • Prior experience in community organizing and power building preferred.
  • High level of experience and demonstrated expertise with the Voter Activation Network (VAN) , Vote Builder or Every Action required.
  • Minimum of two years’ work experience performing a support or campaign role and utilizing computer skills.
  • Proven track record of successful work in a team environment and with multiple partners and teams. Proven track record of working in fast paced environment and multi tasking.
Skills:
  • Experience working with CRM software and with vendor/technology partners preferred.
  • Experience in systems troubleshooting and maintenance preferred.
  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
License:
