Job Description

The Fort Mitchell Kentucky Police Department is accepting applications from experienced Police Officers. We are searching for applicants who love what they do but are looking for a new place to do it. We're looking for officers who are inspired by and dedicated to the concept of service above self. Current police officers who want to work at an agency that appreciates community involvement (because our community appreciates us), thinking outside the box, and one that helps officers focus on following their passion within the law enforcement field are encouraged to apply.

Our department offers a balance between being call-driven and proactive policing. Officers are encouraged to take on responsibilities beyond patrol and to follow their interests. We maintain up-to-date equipment and a good fleet. We have a supportive training budget that allows officers to attend more than just the required annual training.

  • $41,600 – $62,400 ($20-30/hr) based on experience
  • Cell Phone Stipend: $715 per year
  • Holiday Pay $1,600 - $2,400 per year
  • 2 - 4 weeks of vacation (based on experience)
  • 8 hours accumulating sick time per month
