Planning Assistant (SHUKLA Medical)

• Track and expedite production of parts with internal production team and outside suppliers to ensure they are completed on time
  
• Maintain optimum inventory levels of our catalog products to meet excellent customer service levels
  
• Expedite completion of parts on backorder as a high priority
  
• Coordinate with stockroom and shipping departments to ensure customer orders are packed and shipped in a timely manner
  
• Communicate with customer service department on a daily basis on status of customer shipments and backorders
  
• Assist in project management activities for new product launches
  
• Complete additional projects or planning duties as required
  

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
  
• Proficient in office software such as Microsoft Suite, Google Suite
  
• Knowledge of inventory control, stockroom and shipping procedures
  
• A self-starter who is interested in learning new things, gathering information, and looking for resources under minimal supervision
  
• A good communicator, interested in reading and writing, has a good sense of humor
• Great attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Possess an engaging, focused, and curious personality
  
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds
  
• Basic understanding of ERP software and MRP (training will be provided)
  
• 1-2 years production planning experience preferred
