Who We Are:

GetMeFriends is a marketing agency that specializes in building brands through digital outlets. GMF was founded in 2011 and has been at the forefront of social media advertising since its inception. It’s our job to create, adapt, and grow our clients’ success through various online advertising and social media strategies. We are a dynamic and growing team, dedicated to helping companies succeed in the digital marketing space.

Who You Are:

We are seeking a talented and creative college student that is interested in pursuing a career in photography, graphic design, or branding. The candidate will need to be highly motivated, work well under pressure, be open to constructive feedback, and keep up with the fast-paced and rapidly changing social media landscape. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of and interest in social media and current trends, as well as an eye for crafting a unique aesthetic. We aren’t looking for someone to get coffee; we welcome your ideas and suggestions throughout the creative process.

The Internship:

Throughout your internship, you will be exposed to a growing roster of clients and responsibilities, primarily assisting the content team in their day-to-day operations. You’ll work to create engaging social content across platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. We’re looking for someone to tackle various product photoshoots and occasional on-location photoshoots for our clients and provide us with images we can use for their social media accounts. If you’re looking for a crash course in digital agency life, we’d love to hear from you!

Job Duties:

-Product photoshoots in collaboration with the staff photographer

-Product photoshoots outside around Austin or at home

-Liquor photography if the applicant is 21+

-Brainstorming ideas for new content

-Handling the responsibility of our professional camera equipment

-Editing photos using Adobe Lightroom and/or Photoshop to match the current editing style

-Maintaining each account's unique aesthetic

-Utilizing Dropbox for file management

In addition, if you have experience in any of the following, we can offer additional, exciting responsibilities and mentorship that align with your interests.

-Graphic design including Photoshop and/or Illustrator

-Video production/video editing

-Motion graphics and stop motion

-Photo/video editing apps

Are We a Good Match?

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

-Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Photography, Graphic Design, Art, Marketing, Advertising, or related field.

-Can work 10-25 hours/week (flexible hours)

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Open to constructive feedback

-Excellent attention to detail

-Organized and able to prioritize

-Ability to multitask
