Phlebotomist Technician PRN/Chemo

Collects and processes human samples, such as blood and urine specimens, for testing in the laboratory, according to specimen collection and processing protocols.

Minimum Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Required Skills:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including week-ends and holidays to ensure appropriateness and continuity of care for the patients of Sovah Health Danville.

Ability to perform routine venipuncture and skin puncture.

Required Skills:
Healthcare Provider BLS American Heart Association required.

PBT (ASCP or ASPT) or equivalent obtained within two years of employment preferred.

Minimum Work Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year phlebotomy experience preferred
